Control labor & production on site.

This is the MOST important position for a subcontractor.

 

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage carpenters, steel fixers, helpers, machine operators

Assign daily work to each team (shuttering, steel, backfill, pipe laying)

Ensure work is done correctly and quickly

Check daily productivity per team (m², m³, meters)

Make sure material received from main contractor is used properly

Prevent wastage & idle time

Report any issues to the engineer or you (owner)

 

WORK QUALITY & SAFETY:

Ensure proper fixing of shuttering, alignment, supports

Monitor steel fixing accuracy (spacing, cover blocks)

Ensure compaction is done in layers

Check pipe laying alignment & slope

Coordinate dewatering & safety on excavations

Maintain safe working practices with labor

COMMUNICATION & REPORTING:

Prepare simple WhatsApp daily report:

Manpower

Work achieved

Workfront issues

Material requirements

Coordinate with main contractor site engineer

Report delays or missing materials immediately
