# JOB DESCRIPTION – BENDING MACHINE OPERATOR **Position:** Bending Machine Operator **Department:** Production / Manufacturing **Location:** UAE **Experience:** 3–8 Years **Industry:** Manufacturing / Sheet Metal Fabrication / Fire & Smoke Protection Systems **Job Type:** Full-Time ### JOB SUMMARY We are looking for an experienced **Bending Machine Operator** to operate bending/press brake machines and manufacture accurate sheet-metal components for smoke curtains, fire curtains, and related products, according to approved drawings, dimensions, and quality standards. ### KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Operate and set up **sheet-metal bending / press brake machines**. * Read and understand engineering and fabrication drawings. * Set bending angles, dimensions, back gauge, tooling, and pressure. * Select and install suitable dies, punches, and tooling. * Bend **GI, MS, SS, aluminium**, and other sheet-metal components. * Check dimensions and angles using measuring instruments. * Perform first-piece inspection and make machine adjustments. * Ensure production meets approved drawings and specifications. * Identify and rectify basic machine-setting issues. * Maintain production records and minimize material wastage. * Maintain proper housekeeping and follow **5S and safety procedures**. * Report machine breakdowns or abnormal conditions to the supervisor. ### REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS * **3–8 years** of relevant experience as a Bending Machine Operator. * Experience operating **Press Brake / CNC Bending Machines**. * Good knowledge of sheet-metal bending operations and tooling. * Ability to read engineering/fabrication drawings. * Knowledge of bending angles, dimensions, bend direction, and allowances. * Ability to use basic measuring instruments accurately. * Knowledge of different sheet-metal materials and thicknesses. * Good understanding of production quality and safety requirements. * Ability to work independently with minimum supervision. ### PREFERRED EXPERIENCE Experience in manufacturing **fire-rated products, smoke/fire curtains, rolling shutters, doors, sheet-metal components**, or similar engineered products will be an advantage. ### EDUCATION **ITI / Technical Diploma / Vocational Qualification** in Mechanical, Fabrication, Sheet Metal, or a related trade is preferred. ### PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES * Responsible and disciplined * Quality-conscious * Safety-oriented * Good teamwork and communication * Able to work under production targets * Willing to work overtime when required * Able to maintain machines, tools, and workplace properly
