Position – Hydrotest Engineer
Education – Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Experience - 10+ years’ experience, adequate exposure in Pipeline or Piping work in Construction Field.
Job Description - Hydrotest Experience carried out in High Pressure lines of materialism like CS & GRE. Executing Hydrotest Activity along with air cleaning and gauging. Knowledge of basic principles of hydrotest conditions, (Test Pressure ranges, Test Medium Characteristics, Test Sectioning Criteria, Test Duration and Condition, Hydrotest Phases) and equipment (Test Header, Test Manifold Arrangement/Filling and Swabbing Pig Types etc.) and handling instruments like DWT, Pressure Gauge, Temp Recorder Etc.
Relay Testing Engineer
Role To execute all electrical Protection preventative and corrective maintenance.
He/she shall report to the Maintenance Supervisor in relevant operational area.
The candidate shall be possessing minimum a degree, or equivalent, from a
recognised university in electrical engineering. Any additional qualification in
Electrical protection system is preferable.
He shall have understanding of electrical protection setting calculations, short
circuit studies, CT calculations etc. He shall have a good knowledge of control and
protection schemes including trouble shooting. He shall have worked / be capable
of working with all makes of numerical relays in addition to electro-mechanical and
static types. This shall be verified during interview and practical test.
Minimum 5 years experience in a reputed firm(s) in electrical engineering works.
Out of the 5 years he shall possess at least 3 years experience in testing and
commissioning of protection system including trouble shooting.
Experience in testing and commissioning of large gas turbine power stations, high
voltage transmission system, and high voltage substations etc. is a must, as
appropriate for the certification category requested. He should have a good
knowledge of latest electrical protection relays and testing equipment.
The candidate shall possess good knowledge of PDO power system. He shall be
aware of the consequence of any power interruption / equipment tripping due to
any error while carrying out protection testing and setting.
The individual shall possess PDO AEP (Authorised Electrical Person) authority
certificate after successfully undergoing LV and HV ESR courses. He shall be well
versed with Shell Electrical Safety Rules (DEP188.8.131.52), PDO Electrical Safety
Rules (ESR, SP-1104) & Electrical Safety Operating Procedures (ESOP, SP-1108)
and electrical permit system. He should also be familiar with PDO Health Safety &
Environment (HSE) rules and specifications.
The above condition of having AEP certificate can be relaxed if he is accompanied
by an AEP, as defined in the ESR and ESOP for the following cases:
Relay Vendor engineer carrying out testing own make relays
Contractor’s testing engineer with project specific basis approval
