An aluminium door job involves fabricating, assembling, and installing aluminium doors, windows, and frames for residential or commercial projects. Key duties include cutting/machining extrusions, glazing, quality checks, and site installation. Requires technical skills, power tool proficiency, attention to detail, and 2+ years' experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabrication & Assembly: Cutting, shaping, and assembling aluminium profiles, frames, and sashes.
- Installation: Fitting doors, partitions, shop fronts, and curtain walls on-site.
- Technical Skills: Using hand/power tools, including punch tools, mitre saws, and copy routers.
- Glazing & Finishing: Installing glass, gasketing, and hanging doors.
- Quality Control: Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet specifications and standards.
- Site Management: Reading technical drawings, measuring, and coordinating installation at client sites.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Generally 2+ years of relevant experience in aluminium fabrication or installation.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of aluminium extrusions, hardware, and accessories.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift materials and work at heights for installations.
- Attention to Detail: Precision in cutting and assembly to ensure proper functionality.
- Safety: Adherence to health and safety regulations.
