URGENT HIRING PROTECTION ENGINEER
QATAR POWER AND UTILITY SUBSTATIONS

We are in urgent need of an experienced Protection Engineer for a critical utility substation project in Qatar. Candidates with Gulf return or local experience will be given preference.

QUALIFICATION
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
Degree must be from a reputed university
Course duration 4 years mandatory
Certificate attestation is mandatory as per Qatar Government rules for both education and experience

Online or hybrid courses will not be considered

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 5 years of experience in HV and MV substation protection systems
Live protection maintenance experience in 11 kV distribution systems is mandatory

Hands on experience must include
Testing of Electromechanical Static and Numerical Relays
CT and VT testing
Numerical relay configuration and firmware upgradation or downgradation
Relay setting testing and commissioning
Pilot Differential and Fiber Optic Differential Protection
Directional Overcurrent and Directional Earth Fault Protection
Protection and control system troubleshooting
Grading SCS SCADA and GOOSE communication systems
Ability to read and understand control protection and communication drawings

Work experience in a live system is strictly mandatory

IMPORTANT NOTES
Only Protection Engineering experience will be considered
Experience in equipment testing such as switchgear or transformer testing general electrical maintenance design inspection operation or office roles will not be counted

ADDED ADVANTAGE
Priority will be given to candidates with strong experience in Kahramaa Primary and Secondary Substation Protection Systems
