Key Responsibilities & Skills

Cable Preparation & Handling

• Proper cable identification, stripping, and buffer tube management

• Safe handling of tight-buffer and loose-tube fiber cables

Splicing & Termination

• Expertise in fusion splicing & mechanical splicing

• Termination of SC, LC, ST, FC connectors (Single-mode & Multi-mode)

• Installation of FDF, ODFs, patch panels

Testing & Troubleshooting

• Skilled in OTDR, Power Meter, Light Source, VFL

• Ability to read and interpret OTDR traces (faults, splice loss, reflections)

• Documentation of test results & preparation of as-built drawings

Installation & Protection

• Fiber route installation (aerial, underground, ducted, direct buried)

• Experience with micro-ducts, HDPE ducts, manhole cable management

• Proper labeling, fiber routing & protection best practices
